One of the fears I hear expressed most commonly is… what if I do social media wrong?
We wonder…
- How often can I post?
- What if people think I’m posting too much?
- When is it okay to talk about my business?
- How do I know the “rules”?
And we don’t want our social media communities to see us as tactless or think we’re pushy!
Social media, much like parenting, is missing the essential-seeming “rule book” or “official guide” so we’re left to figure it out on our own.
If you’re wondering if you’re doing social media “wrong” – here’s an infographic you may find useful to help you create your own guidelines for each network.

Thanks Michelle!
I’m thinking about pm’ing your infographic as an RSVP to every time I get spamed in messenger and endure comments on my time line for mlm “jelly of month club” event from a stranger.
For now, I PINNED it and Tweeted. I should really pay attention to refining my manners as well.
Thanks again!

Hello Michelle,
Great post over here :)
Indeed social media platforms needs a lot of tactics to be done for. It looks easy but there are number of things about the
various social media platforms that people didn’t know about it.
There are some picks from the social media platforms like Linkedin and Pinterest. I need to work on that areas.
Thanks for the share.
Shantanu.
