My favorite way is to go outside and take a few deep breath or go for a walk. Most of the time it helps me to refocus when I come back. Thanks a lot Michelle for all these great tips.

Getting out for a bit and getting fresh air is wonderful, isn’t it? Sometimes just that break and connection with the outdoors gets us breathing again and focused. Love it.

I would say another creative idea is to talk with a child, your child, anyone’s child. They are so imaginative and sometimes you even glean a piece of wisdom you would have otherwise overlooked!

So true, Sheryl! It’s amazing the ideas and perspectives kiddos have. :)

For me, it’s writing poetry. That’s creative in itself. But I do find that it also feeds my creativity. It’s a bit like a circle. I need to be creative – in something else – so I start writing poetry. This stimulates the creative parts of my brain and hey! My mind is buzzing with creative ideas!!!

I love to write poetry too, Jae. For me, taking a break to play the piano often helps. I think there’s something about moving to a different type of creative activity for a while helps the brain. :)
