Be Motivated to Make a Difference

By Michelle Shaeffer | 4 Comments

What motivates you in business?

I’m fascinated by Richard Branson. I’d bet most entrepreneurs are. He never set out to be a business owner or entrepreneur, struggled with dyslexia, and dropped out of high school. Since then he’s built one of the biggest business empires in the world.

Last weekend I downloaded his book, “Screw It, Let’s Do It.” It was a super quick read and motivational. Give it a shot if you’re looking for some good business reading, it’s only $3.33 in Kindle format (and you can also read Kindle books on your computer or iPhone/iPod touch): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005F3GK92/ref=docs-os-doi_0

In this interview, Richard Branson shares some of his early entrepreneurial ventures, how he ended up in a business, and what he chooses do with his success.

What did you think of the video?  Are the entrepreneurs you’re inspired or fascinated by?

I love Dani Johnson — I’m half way through her book and it’s been a challenging one to read, lots of good action to take.

I don’t usually watch videos on line (in the minority!) but I do like Richard Branson’s can-do spirit. He has accomplished SOOO Much! Thanks for all you do, Michelle!

I love the Richard Branson story because he doesn’t follow a cookie cutter way of thinking. He is his own person which is a quality found in all successful people, whether entrepreneurs or not. One of my favorite entrepreneurs is Oprah. She stayed in the same niche while expanding the avenues. Gotta love those multiple streams!
