Celebrating “Working Naked” Day

By Michelle Shaeffer | 6 Comments

Yes, you read that right.  I’m celebrating because today, Feburary 1st, is the official “Working Naked” day!

I don’t really work naked… though I do often blog in my PJs, I’ll admit.

I loved Lisa’s brand when I was first introduced to it.  She talks about how when we move to working from home it’s like working naked because we’re working without the support of the office environment (which gives us an office, office supplies, a boss, an assistant, technical support, etc).

While we lose those things, we gain so much when we move to working from home!

What are your favorite things about “working naked”?

P.S.  Here are six ways you can celebrate Working Naked Day.

I love being able choose my own hours and schedule out my day with the baby — especially on the days when I don’t get to sleep through the night with him — like today LOL I also enjoy choosing whether it’s a jammies and slippers day or jeans and sneakers day. I also like having my days open so I can do things with my older kids, whether it’s school related or just being able to have “mom and son” or “mom and daughter” time.

freedom – yes also the freedom to work in PJs or to dress up fancy in a way an office hardly tolerates. to be excentric, setting up own hours and own breaks
working nights and having brekkie mornings with the best mate :)

Working nights is one of my favorite things, too, Helen.

I’ve never tried dressing up fancy, but that could be fun!
