Do you worry what others think of you and your business?
Sometimes when we’ve made the decision to strike out on our own and create our own entrepreneurial business, our friends and families don’t quite “get” it…
But here’s a great video from the rocking Marie Forleo about how to deal with it:

Really great video,
We deal such situation many times in our life, where we feel panic of being judged by others. This video is certainly a moral boost to tackle such situation.

Hi Aasma, yes, it is. I love how Marie breaks down what’s often behind it and then gives us action steps to get past it.

Hi Michelle,
It’s a great video. Marie Forleo is very beautifully answered how we deal with the fear of being judged by others. It’s a common question by most of us especially when we are new in business and the best thing is stop judging of ourselves in order to get rid of these tensions.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Yes, it really is a common challenge and her tips are very helpful.

Helpful and entertaining video – thanks for sharing.
I definitely think this is something that everyone striking out on their own has to deal with at some point and I agree with Marie that you have to develop a way to confidently express what you do AND be able to get past those that don’t understand and/or appreciate it (because it’s going to happen).
Michelle Shaeffer says
You’re welcome, Melanie. Marie’s videos are so much fun to watch because they are that perfect combination of entertaining and helpful. :)

I like how Marie brings humor into her presentation. Smiling while you’re learning, I like that formula. Of course it goes without saying that she’s correct. We project our fears and insecurities to others … don’t have to say a word but the energy and thought communication does it. It boils down to this: what you focus on expands. Your thoughts create your reality. It’s a simple concept that many struggle with.
Thanks for another gold nugget Michelle.

It’s funny how the simplest things can be so tough to “get.” If we’re confident, it shows.

There’s not one of us who doesn’t at some time, if only for a moment, worry about being judged. Marie always finds a lively and humorous way to make her point. She shows by doing, always putting herself out there.
Thanks for sharing her with us.

Number 4 (power posse) is the way to go. Humans need someone to relate to; a support system. We are social creatures by nature, so having a no-judging, understanding group to share your leisure time with is invaluable.
