If you’ve been putting a lot of time into creating unique and helpful content from your blog, don’t overlook the easy ways you can leverage that content and repurpose it to help you reach more people. What can you do with it?
1. Podcast It
Creating a podcast from your blog content is easy. Just begin reading your posts into recordings. You don’t even need to be high tech to do this. With CinchCast it’s as easy as creating an account and then dialing into a phone number to create your audio file by phone. AudioBoo is another free option that’s easy to setup and allows you to record from your computer or upload a pre-recorded file.
Once you’ve got your podcast setup you can syndicate it through iTunes and get your own fan club of subscribers. You can also add an audio player to your website for those who prefer to listen instead of read.
2. YouTube It
Turn your blog content into videos. Share your helpful blog posts in front of your webcam and upload them to YouTube or TubeMogul to create your own video channel. If you don’t have a web cam, find photos that go along with your topics, or create slides, and combine your podcast audio with appropriate photos/slides to share as a video.
3. Article-ize It
It usually only takes a few minutes of rewriting to turn a blog post into an article you can share in your newsletter, on EzineArticles and other article sites. You can also submit it to niche directories or share it with groups on LinkedIn and other social networks.
4. Serialize It
Pick out 5-10 blog posts that center around a common theme and create your own “series.” Load each blog post as it’s own message in an autoresponder that sends out one post via email every day or every couple of days. Now you’ve got your very own ecourse on the topic!
Aweber is a great option for setting up ecourses on an autoresponder.
5. Book It
Compile your blog posts into an ebook. Organize them by topic. Add any missing pieces to get a nice flow. Then publish your own ebook. This is a great way to create a free ebook to offer as a thank you to those who subscribe to your newsletter.
If you’ve got enough content, you can even turn your blog posts into a real, printed book. Look at options like Vervante, LuLu, Blurb or CreateSpace for affordable self-publishing options.
You might also check out the plugin Anthologize for WordPress which helps you turn your blog into a book.

I am in the process of repurposing some of my content into an ebook as we speak. All of your ideas are easier to complete when you have a starting point already written.

Definitely. One of my favorite things about blogging is that it makes everything else so much easier to do since I’ve already got the content done. :)

Fantastic ideas, as usual! Now all I need is the time to actually DO these things.

Yes, that’s the real challenge!

Great ideas! I have just done that with my Native American astrology content. It has become profiles, articles, Squidoo lenses and Aweber autoresponder posts.
