By Michelle Shaeffer | 5 Comments

Feeling a bit uncertain of where to begin with your social media?  Or overwhelmed by all the networks and options?

You need a plan!  And maybe a bit of automation…

Begin by deciding which networks reach your ideal audience, so you’re focused on the right spaces.

Setup or review your profiles on each of the networks you’ll be active on:

  • Is your brand consistent?
  • Are your photo(s) or logo(s) up to date?
  • Can network users find your contact details?
  • Does your bio or about catch attention?  Is it on brand?
  • Is your profile linked to your opt-in page?

Next look at what type of daily/weekly action plan makes sense for you.

Here’s a great infographic that’ll give you some solid ideas of how you can manage staying consistently active on multiple networks in just 30 minutes a day.

    Hello Michelle,

    Great tips over here :)

I need to work more on my photos. They are something that catches the eye too quick.

Another thing I look to re-consider is that I need to work on my bio, thinks it not clearly defies me enough.

    Thanks for the share.

    Have a great weekend ahead.

    Shantanu.

Michelle this a great info graphic. Is there a way to print it out so that I can hang it on my bulletin board? It would be a great daily reminder ” TO DO LIST”. I tried to print it that way it is and it did not print out so well.

Hi, Michelle. 15-minutes is my goal for checking into my accounts and I can quickly do that in my HootSuite dashboard.
It helps me to not get lost on bunny trails when on social media.
I do like to spend 25-30 minutes interacting with my followers. This is the fun part of social.

Hi Michelle. Thanks for sharing the infographic. Do you know anyone who only spends 6 minutes on Facebook?

Great Tips Indeed. It is imperative for brands to maintain and take their social profiles very seriously.

With so many different platforms where the target audience hangs out it becomes necessary to pay proper attention to each platform. your graphic certainly helps in this regard.
