Since we got several questions about how to use a Twitter #hashtag for the Ultimate Blog Challenge, I created a video to show you how it works.
And I also created a video to show how to install Twitter Tools and set it up to auto-tweet your new blog posts, including the #blogboost hash tag for those who are participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge.

You rock, my friend! This is going to be very helpful. I figured out why my NetworkedBlogs box wasn’t like showing my followers — I used the WordPress badge — I just switched it to the regular html coding and lo and behold! voila! So that is one thing less — Now off to Twitter-ize my blog!
Thanks for being so awesome :)

Thanks Kimberly, and glad you figured that out. NetworkedBlogs totally threw me for a loop when I initially signed up, but once it’s all set it works beautifully.
Thanks for this — I have the hashtag set in my Twitter Tools but it simply ignores it when it sends out an automatic tweet. I have to do one again and manually add the hashtag. I’m hoping that WP 3.0.1 will fix this – have to update to that. 3.0 has been causing me problems like this!

I hope the upgrade fixes it for you. I am running 3.01 and didn’t have the plugin installed before this morning, so I’d hadn’t run into that issue yet. But your posts are worth sharing twice! :)
I had to activate the Twitter Tools Hashtag plugin, then I could put #blogboost into another window and it stayed there. I’ll see for sure if it works when I make a new post tonight. Off to write one!

Thanks for the tip! Let us know if that works for you and I can add it into the video (with a little credit note to you, of course).
