It’s Okay to Feel Like a Bamboo Tree

By Michelle Shaeffer | 4 Comments

How much do you know about bamboo trees?

If your knowledge is limited to their use in flooring or testing as a torture device on the Mythbusters, then you’ll want to watch the video and learn something new.

I bet you’ll look at bamboo, as well as yourself and your business, in a bit of a different light.

And next time you feel like a bamboo tree, remember that you’re putting down roots.

Awesome message of hope and inspiration to continue to reach for new heights, no matter how long it takes. I love realizing that while we await we should think of these times as growing a root system. Thanks for sharing. We need reminders that something does happen when we think that nothing happens.

Yes, I really liked that part, too. I can think of the “gotta hang in there” times as when I’m growing those roots. :)

Profound and lasting message in this video, Michelle. I can’t think of a more perfect example of what it’s like to be a budding entrepreneur. Doing everything right, staying on a steady path, expending more energy than you ever thought possible, burning the candle at both ends, and … nothing happens. Well, you believe nothing is happening but, really, a lot is happening. Just like the bamboo having to lay down it’s deep rooting system before it sprouts up, entrepreneurs need to lay the groundwork before they experience success.

    Cool post! :)
