Q3: What’s 1 Strategy That’s Worked for You?

What one thing have you done this year that’s worked to market or promote your business?

For me the hands down winner is blogging.  Not just writing on my blog, but getting more focused on the entire strategy — blogging here, guest blogging, commenting on other blogs, and participating in blog challenges.

Second place would be social networking and the lines are a bit fuzzy since they both go together so well.

On a related note, outside of blogging, the biggest list builders this year for me have been offering teleseminars.

What has worked for you?  Any tips you want to share about why it worked?

I don’t have much of a strategy, I’m afraid. I’ve got a website, and I’ve got a Squidoo lens pointing to the website. I blog a little, but not enough.

Right now, the thing that is helping my business is the fact that I’m the only one doing what I’m doing. I think sometimes about what I would need to do to maintain if anybody else started offering the same service. Not sure yet.

Getting a website online is a big step in the right direction. :) And Squidoo can be a very good source of traffic. That sounds like a strategy start to me, Joan!

You’ve got your market cornered, that does make it easier to stand out. Just keep building on what you’ve got and you’ll have a solid foundation in place if competition pops up later.

If you’re interested in blogging as a strategy, we’d love to have you join us for http://ultimateblogchallenge.com – it’s free, fun, and starts this weekend. Lots of free resources, too, to help participants get blogging and promoting their businesses/blogs.

I’m too scared to analyse it :) but I’d say blogging at a guess?

Don’t let it scare you. :) It’s good info to know since it helps focus time on what’s working.

It’s the same for me: social media (Squidoo as well as the usual big 4) and blogging (especially the Ultimate Blog Challenge and the blogging community, BlogFrog).

I haven’t explored BlogFrog yet, I’ll have to check it out. :)
