Life has a way of throwing things at us that we aren’t ready for. But then, most challenges in life we’d never consider ourselves ready for if the universe asked us if we wanted the car accident, business disaster, computer crash, hospitalization, health issues, or whatever else happens.
Since it’s a Monday I thought it’d be a great time for a reminder for all of us to JUST BREATHE. Whatever comes your way this week, stop and take a few deep breaths before you respond. It’s probably not as bad as you first think, not as disastrous as it first feels, and some how you can let it go or turn it around into an opportunity to innovate in your business or grow in your personal life.
As entrepreneurs everything in our lives tends to get intertwined. So whether you’re dealing with work related or home related challenges, here are some quotes I hope will encourage you this week:
Don’t give up trying to find your way. But do remember that sometimes it takes bending to avoid breaking.
~Katinka Hesselink
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.
~Ambrose Redmoon
Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
~Dale Carnegie
Nothing is hopeless, we must hope for everything.
~Madeleine L’Engle
And, if you don’t have any challenges happening (Yay!) then please take a few minutes this week and encourage someone around you who needs it. Reach out, and you’ll find that hands will reach back to help you when you’re in need.

Hi Michelle,
Great reminder- I needed it- I could feel a big knot forming in my shoulders.

I heard a saying once… “We all can’t afford to be crazy at the same time.”
We all have opportunities to help others when they are down… and appreciate a “leg up” when we have our own challenges.
Thanks Michelle

Thank you for the wonderful post, I kind of overbooked myself with this challenge. It’s a great reminder that we all need to breathe.

And the consequences of not taking a breather once in a while, Michelle, can be worse than what was eating at us in the first place.
Kathy Griffiths offered up a saying that is filled with truth and wisdom. So I’m going to lay one down here, too …
“Life is not an emergency.”
Thank you for this wonderful post, quotes of inspiration, and a gentle reminder of the importance of taking care of ourselves and others when they need our support.

Michelle, great reminder!
That’s just what I did before I started working this morning. I sat down on my sofa, looked out at the trees swaying gently, and took several deep breaths.
Tension is a sneaky companion, sometimes silent and hidden until something aches. We should all breathe deeply throughout the day to return to balance!

It really can be sneaky! It builds up until we suddenly realize how tense we are. And amazing how much those few stolen moments to stop, breathe, and think can help. :)
