Sometimes you just need a “spark” of inspiration… and sometimes you need the whole fireworks display!
From a little spark may burst a flame. ~Dante Alighieri
At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. ~Albert Schweitzer
I think it’s imperative to follow your heart and choose a profession you’re passionate about, and if you haven’t found that “spark” yet, if you’re not sure what you want to do with your lives – be persistent until you do. ~Steve Kerr
If you have anything really valuable to contribute to the world it will come through the expression of your own personality, that single spark of divinity that sets you off and makes you different from every other living creature. ~Bruce Barton
The artist must create a spark before he can make a fire and before art is born, the artist must be ready to be consumed by the fire of his own creation. ~Auguste Rodin

Absolutely love the Robin Williams one.
We don’t celebrate 4th July here in the UK but nonetheless I can certainly appreciate that as a great topic for what is an important holiday in the USA.
Happy 4th July :)

Isn’t that one great? Gotta love Robin Williams’ candidness.

Hey, Michelle,
it’s pretty amazing how we all got hypnotized with fireworks, isn’t it?There is something fascinating about it…as you say,it is associated with a spark of inspiration…but,a spark that can evolve into so much more! Reading the quotes was enjoying, I especially like that you cited Robin Williams, my favorite comedian. He is so right…if we are blessed with a spark of madness, we should not loose it, because it’s a blessing.
Michelle Shaeffer says
And it’s a challenge to hang on to it, Good thing entrepreneurs tend to be stubborn! :)

I love those sparks of inspiration we sometimes get. Those individual sparks of creativity each of us have all combine to make the world a better place. Of course we all need to act on them. What a lovely way to tie it into the 4th of July firewooks

Wow! That’s quite a display Michelle!
And I love the quotes. Everyone, everyone, everyone has a unique and special gift to give and finding and expressing that gift is truly a reason to live.
Thanks for sharing.

Wasn’t it? I was impressed. I’ve never seen live fireworks that crazy. :)
We do – just got to find it and live it.

Great post, Michelle! I think that it is a great idea to remind ourselves that it only needs a little action to make things happen. The thing that I think that so many miss is the fact that inspiration doesn’t have to be some mind-blowing thing. I’ve noticed that my best blog posts have all been about everyday events where I have found some sort of application and life examination. I think that a lot of times it is better to simply start where you are, and you’d be amazed at how much of a spark you find, because you’ll be even more open to that creative spark.
Michelle Shaeffer says
That’s a great perspective to keep, Steve. Sometimes we do wait too long for that “big idea” when all we really need is to start with where we’re at and the little spark will show up and turn into something great.

Reminds me one of my university professor. I got “spark” of inspiration from his class, which helped me to move on.
