I hold a personal belief that we’re all designed to create amazing things. We’re all creative in unique ways and we each have our own mission here on earth.
Two of my favorite quotes lately are:
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman
“There is no greater thing you can do with your life and your work than to follow your passions in a way that serves the world and you…” Sir Richard Branson
So my question for you today is, what makes you come alive? And how can you do more of that?

Very timely post considering my wife and I had a nice long conversation last night about our future. Things are changing and we need to make sure we make the right choices, both personally and professionally. A large part of this is determining what we want to do with our lives – to figure out what makes us alive and pursue it. Great stuff!

Twitter makes me come alive. Is that a bizarre answer? But it does. Today I helped @hope, http://www.hopemob.org, to get connected with a possible corporate sponsor. Nothing has made my heart sing like this project. Twitter brings me into contact with the people I want to be like, the ones who change the world. Twitter makes me come alive.
Thank you for asking the question!

The feeling of freedom makes me come alive.
Connection–recognizing my connection to my self and to my Source (ie God) and to others lights my fire.
“Burn, Baby, Burn” – I think Danielle LaPorte said it somewhere recently…if not, I’m attributing it to her, cuz it sounds like something she would have said…”quit trying to sell and just radiate.” Powerful concept, I’ve started absorbing and really looking at in my life.
This corresponds with your first quote…when you are “alive” with life, others long to get close.

I truly love the idea of working in a zone with ones passions – but what about the monotonous jobs that make up the vast majority of global employment but don’t really fulfill many meaningful dreams?
Flora Morris Brown, Ph.D. says
There is an old spiritual, “If I can help somebody as I pass along, If I can cheer somebody with a word or song. . .then my living will not be in vain.”
I feel most alive when I’m helping and uplifting others. The beauty of this is that it uplifts and fuels my passion too.
“Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” ~James Barrie~

It’s human nature that when he does anything that helps others then he feels very peaceful inside therefore when I help anybody or solve people’s problems then it makes me come alive.

It’s a given that I come alive when I’m with my grand daughter and when I have stimulating conversation with my children. I come alive when I listen to someone’s voice and I can read him/her from the vibration, the nuances, and the inflections that most people overlook. It allows me to see parts of them that are hidden. I come alive when like a detective; I see through the crap and get to what’s real. How can I do more of this? Hmm … I’m working on it.

I come alive when I take care of my parents and find smile on their faces. I come alive when I saw somebody’s life changed because of my words or efforts. I also come alive when somebody appreciate my work or I appreciate somebody. Thankyou for asking this beautiful question.
