What’s Really Stopping You?

By Michelle Shaeffer | 6 Comments

It’s Monday! That means a question and challenge video for you.

If you can’t see the video above, click here to watch it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kfOrh4oRuA

So, your turn! Do you struggle with the “I know I should, BUT…” What’s one thing you know you need to do to move forward that you haven’t taken action on yet? Are you going to take action on it this week?

Hey, Michelle! I so know what you mean…I have done the same thing but instead of buying more technology, I stalled by doing ENDLESS research. It was a great distraction for me so that I could avoid doing what I needed to do.

Thanks for shedding light on this topic and sharing your story. (And I always love your videos…)

I’ve got my action items for the day and you have inspired me to simply work through them without agonizing.

Oh, that’s an easy one to get stuck on, too. There’s so much research we can do with the internet… it just never ends!

Glad this was inspiring, Kim. :) Thanks for stopping by.

Great video. You have real guts. I feel much more confident about producing my posts in text format. I am not very good on video. You seem to be good though and I think you should do it more often. Your personality really comes across.

My plan has to be to write more consistently at first. I will change the goal once I have achieved this.

Hope you’re having an amazing week.

Thanks David. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m working on it.

Consistency is a great goal to shoot for. :)

    Hello Michelle,

Thanks for sharing. I believe I should be doling videos. WHY haven’t I done them? Good question. Let me ask my shadow self … YIKES!!!! Procrastination and Perfection. Thanks shadow self – I can always depend on you to tell it like it is. :-)

I’ve been putting off doing videos the same way I use to put off doing Pinterest. I made my first boards and pins approximately 3 weeks ago. I will not be making any videos this week but I commit to making at least one before the end of the year.

I give myself permission to make imperfect videos.

    Continued success.

I love that Adalia, “I give myself permission to make imperfect videos.” I had to do that, too. I can always find at least a dozen things I should have done differently in mine but I decided I let that stop me for long enough. :)

Go for it! I look forward to seeing your video within the next few months. :)
