I do happen to be missing a couple of these (thanks for recommending them), but I’m most interested in finding out how you got your marketing ideas ebook sign-up to appear at the end of your posts.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Hi Shakirah, that’s added using the Genesis theme’s hook feature. I’m using Genesis and the Lifestyle child theme. Then the code for my marketing ideas ebook is in the “genesis_before_comments Hook” box.
It seems like something there ought to be a plugin that would do. I’d search for “add post footer” or similar to find a plugin with this type of functionality.
Nicole Bandes says
Shakirah,
You can also use the Call to Action plug in for that.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Awesome! Thanks, Nicole. :)

Great video Michelle.
I use SexyBookmarks on my blog too. I think my favourite has to be Comment Luv. It’s because it’s free advertising and gives readers a chance to get something in return for writing their comments. I do find that not as many people tend to use it though. I usually get affiliate sites or other sites rather than blogs.
I hope you had a great weekend.

CommentLuv rocks. I love that plugin. I mostly get blog posts, but since I blog about blogging a lot, my readers tend to have blogs. :)
Melissa B. says
Perfect timing, I needed a replacement for nRelate. :)
Michelle Shaeffer says
LinkWithin is very cool. I switched to nRelate so I could do cross promo but I haven’t got it fully setup yet. I need to work on that. Or delegate it to my VA.
Bharat says
I’m using three of them only, have to try remaining all. Seen some new plugins after a long time. Thank you Michelle :)
Michelle Shaeffer says
You’re welcome, Bharat. There are so many options out there! They’re fun to play with though. :)

Important plugins for any blog, and blog owners should not ignore the importance of these plugins.

Hi Michelle,
I am missing SexyBookmarks, well, actually I am not missing it at all!
I just replaced it with Digdig last week. It was slowing down my blog dramatically. As much as I loved the style and graphics of it, I just had to remove it, as it was really bringing performance down.
Debra Jason says
Michelle. Was fun to see one of my posts used in your video. LOL!
I use Sexy Bookmarks, but I’ve been curious about DigDig (didn’t know that was the name of it). I like that it offers a “print” option. Will have to check it out.
Thanks!
Debra

does anybody know about a plugin with which i can upload pdf files?
i want to have a section where people can download them for free and another section where people can buy (want to establish a kind of flyer toolkit: this flyer + your text (the text which ich will intergrate into the flyer) = the best flyer you can get for xy euro (will be send via email then))

Michelle,
Thank you for another great post! Always good to follow what you’re doing.
I like how your homepage has your blog posts set up nicely. I think you said this was because you’re using Genesis.
Do you know of any plugins that allow for your main blog to have posts organized like you have it?
