Looking for a simple, free way to create graphics for your website, blog and sales pages?
Check out these three web-based tools.
You can access each one online in your browser so you don’t need to download any files or fight through the learning curve most graphics software comes with.
Cool Text Buttons & Headlines @ CoolText.com
With CoolText.com you can create nice buttons, with mouseover effects (touch it with your mouse to see) like this:
Or stylized text headers/logos, like this:
Guarantee Boxes at FreeGraphicCreator.com
Need a fancy graphic guarantee box for your sales page? Try the box wizard at http://freegraphiccreator.com/success4.php
This tool can also create nice buy now button boxes, multi-line headlines, and more.
Box Shots, Product Covers, eBook Images at http://www.myecovermaker.com/
My favorite way to generate professional ecovers is with My eCover Maker. I subscribe to the paid version for access to all of the choice, but there are five options available free at http://www.myecovermaker.com/ecover-design
Here are some my virtual assistant has created for me using this generator (she does the cover itself in Photoshop, then uploads it to My eCover Maker to make it all pretty and 3D-ish but you can also create the cover right in their wizard by choosing different background options, graphics, and adding your own text).
Try ’em out and let me know what you think! Or, share your favorite tools for creating graphics.

If you need icons check out http://findicons.com/ – that’s where I got my social media buttons and I’ve found some very attractive arrows and things like that there as well.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Thanks for sharing that link, Danielle. They’ve got lots of cool icons.
Rhonda Neely says
Michelle, you always have the greatest information. You are a blessing to me and making my business flow smoother and quicker. Thanks!!!
Oh, one question on an older post…I can’t get the Heart icons plug in. I was able to download a zip file to my computer and I don’t know what to do with the zip file. Would love your suggestion how I can get the Heart (how appropriate) icons on my site.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Hey Rhonda, I’ll write up a post on this. But basically you want to unzip the folder, upload them all to your Media Library, then add them into a widget with HTML code. Not as simple as a plugin, but the end result is more fun. :)
Michelle Shaeffer says
Just posted what to do with that zip file:

Michelle thank you for the ecover designer information I have been looking for one so I can finally do an e book. I am going to check this out and get started next week.
Michelle Shaeffer says
It does beautiful ebook covers, Joe. They come out really professional looking. I’ve tried everything from programs for them to actionscripts for Photoshop to other online generators and this one is my favorite both for ease of use and for quality.
Paula Lee Bright says
I’m astounded by this stuff. How cool is THIS? I’ve bookmarked it for both my sites, and will be back often.
Once I get familiar with it, you can be sure I’ll be recommending it on my blog to my friends and fellow bloggers. Not many of them have seen this stuff. Really NEAT! Thanks so much.
Michelle Shaeffer says
Thanks for bookmarking and sharing, Paula. Appreciate it!
Maureen Hunter says
Thanks for the great info Michelle.
Ive been using Create Images Online, which has been OK but the images arent really clear.
Looking forward to trying my e cover. I havent got photoshop so will have to look at what I can do from their platform
Do you know how to add an image to an aweber opt in box to accompany the text. I seemed to have trouble getting the size to fit when I did that?
Thanks
Michelle Shaeffer says
I haven’t tried in the online form builder too much so I’m not totally sure there. But you can edit images online free at http://pixlr.com/editor/ to get the size you need. And I usually just code my own HTML to make the image next to the form using a table like this:
<table border=0>
<tr><td>
<img src="IMAGEHERE">
</td><td>
AWEBER CODE HERE
</td></tr></table>
