Are You Challenging Yourself?

By Michelle Shaeffer | 4 Comments

This marks post 31 during January 2012 here on my blog.  It’s Ultimate Blog Challenge month so I had a goal to hit.  4 of my posts were today.  But I completed the challenge!

Here’s my question for you: Are you challenging yourself?

Some food for thought:

“Accept the challenges so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.”
General George S. Patton

“I have always grown from my problems and challenges, from the things that don’t work out, that’s when I’ve really learned.”
Carol Burnett

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain

“Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth. Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.”
Noela Evans

What challenges have you faced, and overcome?

For the past twelve years I’ve been a book designer and a print on demand specialist and coach for some amazing authors. Four years ago I decided to go back to school, get more credentials, and change careers. Two years later, after meeting that challenge, I graduated. I thought THAT was the challenge, but it really wasn’t. What has been the challenge has been actually making that change, but I am doing it. I feel like a kid whose just had her training wheels taken off. I’m peddling and peddling and hanging on for dear life, but I’m doing it. Today, I am an author, intuitive, speaker, and coach. I’m lovin’ life. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

i so love the quote you mentioned by mark twain!

my challenge: not to get overwhelmed by life – at least not to often.
finding proper customers and make a living finally.

each month is a challenge i have to pass to feed the 3 males living with me – teenage son and 2 hungry cats!
and by the end of the month i am usually happy that i mangaged it – again :)

a big challenge: finding somebody special for me :)

glad you made the challenge as well michelle :)
me had to write 4 posts on the final day too but we both made it!

The big challenges motivate us to get things done and make it happen — sometimes at that very last minute. :)
