Since it’s a weekend, and National Coffee Day in the US, it seemed the perfect time to share this infographic.
The little differences in the way we share on each of the big social networks, explained with my favorite drink!
I’d love if you’d share in the comments: what’s your favorite social network and beverage?
Spread the Love
So cute!
Choosing my favorite social media is tough, since they each have different purposes. Pair it up with a cafe latte and I’ll enjoy several social media sites: Twitter for its brevity, FB for its groups and LinkedIn for great connections with fellow professionals, Meetup to hook up in person with folks who share my interests and lately, Pinterest for stimulating my imagination.
Very true. I like Twitter for the same reason. I keep thinking I should be more active on LinkedIn but I need to put that into reality.
Pinterest is awesome. I always come away feeling inspired and with great new ideas (my kids particularly love the strange recipes I try after surfing that site LOL).
I LOVE this infographic, Michelle! Great share!
Coffee is my favorite beverage :) and my fave SM network?? Hmmm … I would have to say FB, Pinterest and Instagram :)
I need to check out Instagram, I’m not there yet. What do you like best about it?
What an awesome infographic! You’re SO creative Michelle (or maybe your sister)!
My favorite Social Media site is Facebook and my favorite drink is iced sweet tea!
LOL We can’t take credit for this one. :) It’s by MarketplaceMaven.com But very cool!
Hi Michelle,
great inforgraphic, great visualization. My favourite drink when networking online is water, pure and plain water. I love Facebook most.
Thanks for sharing your insights.
Best,
Oliver
And probably the wisest choice of drink! :)
Best infographic I’ve seen in a while! My fav social site is Twitter and I’m a diet coke gal!
Isn’t it fun? I’ve seen the donut one but I just love the coffee version. :)
Love it Michelle! This really is one of the best ones I have seen in a while… Who can’t relate to coffee!? :)
Exactly. I love when infographics take things we can all relate to – donuts, coffee – and use them to explain concepts. It works!
Hahaha! I like it! Not coffee but the illustration. I’ve never been able to get on board with drinking coffee but it smells awesome!
Isn’t that fun? :) She did a great job!
Now I want some coffee. Going through the info-graphic made me thirsty for it. That was an awesome explanation about social media.
Yes, it made me crave another cup of coffee, too. :)
I’m off topic, but I’m really trying to figure out the “policy” of sharing of images online. I thought it was OK to share infographics if you use the embed code provided by the creator of the image. If no embed code, at least you would link back to the original site. As a graphic designer, I don’t believe it’s OK to download and repost images, even if they have a URL on them (tho I add one because I know people do it). Am I just wacky? I don’t even see a link back here.
Hey Louise, one of the challenges is that it seems to really vary. I’ve actually had more than one infographic creator email me and insist I remove the links to them because of Google’s latest changes (it doesn’t look like natural link building and hurts the site). Others want the link. This one the image itself links to the creator and her URL is on the image so it’s easy to find, but I may shoot her an email and find out how she’d prefer to be linked because it’s probably not with the Pinterest embed code where it was shared with me. :)
Does the link not work when you click the image? I’ll double check my code because it should definitely click through. :)
It does now, before it was linking to the file on your site. I have never heard of someone not wanting links! I thought that was one of the reasons people make infographics. Thanks for responding.
