Ch-ch-ch-changes

For reasons I’ll maybe go into later, I have to change the domain/tag line I’ve used for the past 5 years and can no longer use The Small Business Muse. So this means big changes!

I’ve grown pretty attached to it since I started using it while my design business was under Elemental Muse, and I’m sad to have to drop it.  Sometimes when we refuse to jump the universe has to push us a little bit to get us to move to bigger and better things.  Negativity never helps so other than allowing myself  to indulge in a few tears, I’m noting several important business lessons (yeah, I’ll share those later, too), trusting it’s for the best, and moving on.

First, I need a new tag line.  I’m not crazy about the one I put in the header and I’d love your suggestions.  Help me solve my identity crisis!  Who am I?  What do I do?

Second, I’ve had to move to a new fan page, where I’m going to be creating even more goodies.  It’s seriously boring right now but I’d so appreciate you joining me there – http://facebook.michelleshaeffer.com

    Dearest Michelle,
I’m very sad to hear about the “name change” — but, you are absolutely right about the negativity. Chin up, and move on! Because YOU, my friend, are going to bigger and better than ever!!!!!!

I’m sad to see your information change, but it happens and all you can do it move on. I know that your site and information will be better then ever due to this change. I’m no good at these types of things so I have nothing to give you. :) ((hugs))

Sorry to hear about your recent stresses. In the brief time I’ve known you, I certainly get the sense that you are a “make lemonade” kind of gal — so take heart in knowing that there are those out there that will support you as you take on this new chapter.

In the meantime, consider this: in mythology, the muses were considered the source of knowledge, and they were credited with inspiring creation. That said, perhaps you could use, “Creative and Entrepreneurial Inspiration for Small Business.”

I’m giving it my best shot to make lemonade out of it.

I like that idea of using inspiration instead of muse. I don’t think I want to keep the word muse because I really don’t want trouble with it down the road, but I so love the ideas it conveys.
